Reform UK Beaten By ‘Local Conservatives’ In Swanage

Residents of Swanage have voted, and the results are in for the July 2025 by-elections

One seat was available for the Dorset Council Swanage ward, one seat for the Swanage Town Council – Swanage South ward, and one seat for the Swanage Town Council – North ward, following the sudden death of Cllr Bill Trite in May this year. Cllr Trite had held the seats since 2019. 

The results for the Dorset Council Swanage ward, with 45.37 per cent turnout, are as follows:

The results of the Swanage Town Council – Swanage South ward, with 42.18 per cent turnout, are as follows:

Therefore, Philip Derek Burridge is duly elected.
