The Guardian has published a major research study revealing that Half of England is owned by less than 1% of the population.
The majority of the landowners are aristocrats, such as the Queen and the Duke of Buccleuch, who still own 30% of all UK land.
Corporations were the second biggest landowners with around 18% land, oligarchs and city bankers own 17%, while the public sector is in control of just 8.5% of all land.
Jon Trickett, Labour MP and shadow minister for the Cabinet Office, said the figures showed it was a “country for the few not the many”.
Anyone who votes for a right wing party or politician is getting this. An utterly unequal society owned by a very small number of very rich and powerful people. The order of our lives is determined largely by them from cradle to grave.

WE are the recipients of THEIR justice. We are given the jobs THEY determine. We are the victims of the cuts THEY decide….
We either accept it or change it. For the latter how far are we prepared to go?
