Children’s TV entertainer Andy Day visited Brewery Square, Dorchester, on Saturday March 31 with two free performances of Andy’s Dino Raps at 12pm and 2pm.

Thousands of people headed to the centre despite the poor weather forecast on the day and the attendance beat the previous record at Mr. Bloom’s 2017 Easter event.

Charlotte Spracklen, centre manager for Brewery Square, commented: “We hope we’ve created some eggs-tra special memories this Bank Holiday weekend – Andy put on an excellent performance and everyone had a smile on their face throughout.

“Our Easter Egg Hunt was a great success once again, it’s a joy to be able to spread so much excitement in Dorchester and setting new record figures is great news for our retailers.”

The event was held alongside its four-day Easter Egg Hunt, which saw a 25 per cent increase on people taking part compared to 2017. Children up to 15 years old were able to participate, picking up a form from the Concierge Office and then hunting for eggs. On completing the form and returning it, children were given a free Easter prize.
