Imagine those far-right MPs lying along the coast looking for a small craft. They see one and are immediately ringing 999 and asking for the Coastguard. They are then on social media, preparing a press release and ringing their mates in the right-wing corporate media and shouting at the editor or the producer to run the story now.
Never mind the real issues that are front and centre to people’s daily lives. No, it has to be small boats and desperate people who can be manipulated into being the invading enemy for those who spell ‘bred’ ‘bread’ and whose illiteracy spreads well beyond just words.
However, some days it is not those poor people risking everything on a small boat in the channel. Sometimes it is just charity rowers out having a great time raising money for good causes. Little did they know that Lowe was out with his binoculars and mobile phone reporting them.
And then, of course, there is the greatest con of the twenty-first century so far that Lowe is very much part of.
The riots will continue. The racism will become more entrenched and malignant. Lowe and Farage will continue to be multimillionaires. War and refugees will increase. Arms sales will be maintained. And charity rowers will become increasingly paranoid. All in the good old Great Britain.
