- This government’s policies are harming millions of ordinary people. Now they are changing the whole voting system, making it harder for us to vote them out of power.
- People are not being fairly represented in Parliament, and millions risk losing their vote.
- You can help stop this. Act before 16th November – it will only take 5 minutes.
The Conservatives want to reduce the number of MPs representing us. They are planning to use the list of registered voters on 1 Dec 2015 to redraw Parliamentary boundaries in order to cut the number of MPs.
But millions of people could go missing from the register, because the Conservatives have introduced a new way of registering. This is particularly affecting low & average income workers, people living in rented accommodation, women, families, students and young people. In other words, those people worst affected by Tory policies are most likely to lose their vote.
When the new Parliamentary boundaries are drawn, the millions missing from the register will no longer be fairly represented, and the injustice will be set in stone. This will make it far harder for us to vote the Conservatives out of power in future, even though they don’t have anything close to an overall majority even now (only 24% of eligible voters supported them at the last election).
Help us to keep fair representation in Parliament for everyone.
Keep your own right to choose who governs you.
