Officers investigating a serious injury collision in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

An investigation is underway into a collision that occurred at around 8pm on Monday 18 January 2021 on Chafeys Roundabout involving a blue Nissan GTR and a silver BMW.

Officers attended the scene of the collision, along with the ambulance service and the fire service assisted in removing two women from the BMW.

The women were taken to hospital with injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident and for an examination of the scene to be carried out.

Police Constable Jon Kuspert, of the traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicles involved prior to it, and has not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to check their footage for anything relevant.”
