Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after an alleged sexual assault and affray on a bus journey between Poole and Blandford.

It is reported that at around 3.50pm on Tuesday 15 August 2023, a man approached a number of people who were waiting for a bus at Poole bus station in Kingland Road and kissed a woman on the cheek.

When on the X8 bus to Blandford, it was further reported that the man was being verbally abusive to other passengers.

Following enquiries, a 27-year-old man from Shaftesbury was arrested and charged with affray and sexual assault. He was due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 17 August 2023.

Police Constable Erin Kinghorn, of Dorset Police, said: “There would have been a number of other people in the area at the bus station, as well as travelling on the bus to Blandford.

“I am appealing to anyone with information, or who was affected by the incident, to please get in touch.”
