Officers investigating an incident of shoplifting and threats to a shop worker in Bournemouth are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.
At around 12am on Friday 21 August 2020 two men entered M J Wines in Commercial Road and one of them picked up three cans of cider before attempting to leave the store without paying.
He was challenged by the shopkeeper, who asked for the man to return the cans. The man threatened to stab the victim before walking off from the scene.
The offender did not produce a knife but the victim reported seeing a handle sticking out of the man’s trouser pocket, which he believed could have been that of a bladed article.
Police Constable Evelyn Hoslett, of Bournemouth police, said: “This must have been a frightening ordeal for the victim and we have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this matter.
“We have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect but have so far been unable to identify them and I would urge anyone with information as to their identity to please contact us.”
