Mental Health Awareness Week starts on 15 May and the theme for this year is anxiety. We can all experience feelings of anxiety at any time in our lives, for many different reasons. Whether it’s big life events, money troubles, relationship changes or a new job – anxiety is a normal emotion; but sometimes we need a bit of support to prevent it from becoming a mental health problem.
Pressure during exam season can have a big impact on children and young people and lead to feelings of stress and anxiety. These mixed emotions can become challenging for their mental health, but there are resources and help available.
To support children and young people who are approaching exams, we will be highlighting the wide range of tools, resources, and mental health support available in Dorset on our Facebook page. You can also read our blog with signposting to all the fantastic resources and advice available.
No child or young person should feel alone, there is always someone they can talk to.
