Officers investigating an assault and criminal damage incident in Christchurch are issuing an image of the suspect.

At around 11am on Tuesday 22 September 2020 it was reported that a small white van drove down a restricted footpath on Watery Lane and two occupants were seen to unload bags and rubbish in the area.

A member of the public who was photographing wildlife at the time asked the two men to put their stuff back, but was then reportedly kicked by one of the men and damage was caused to a camera he was holding.

The victim – a local man aged in his 50s – was left shaken but was not physically injured.

Police Constable Amy Bowkis, of Christchurch police, said: “As part of our enquiries I have obtained an image of the suspect and efforts to identify him so far have not been successful.

“I would ask anyone who knows who he is to please contact Dorset Police.”
