Teenage girl attacked in Poole

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an unprovoked assault on a teenage girl in Poole.

The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Thursday 6 June 2024 in a lane near to David Lloyd gym in Cabot Lane.

The victim was walking with a friend when a group of two girls and two boys began shouting abuse toward them.

The victim and her friend ignored the group and carried on walking, but were subsequently followed by the female members of the group.

It is reported that one of the girls assaulted the victim, causing injuries to her face and knee.

The offender is described as around five feet tall, of chubby build with mid-length black hair and was wearing black leggings and a black jumper.

Detective Constable Michael White, of Dorset Police, said: “This was a nasty unprovoked assault on a teenage girl, which left her with significant injuries.

“We have now obtained further information about the circumstances of the incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.

“If you have information that may help us identify anyone involved, please contact Dorset Police.”
