Dorset Police received a report at 8.05pm on Friday 18 July 2025 of a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Hyundai i10 and a grey Mercedez Benz on the A35 in Dorchester, at its junction with the A352. Officers attended and road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident.

A teenage occupant of the Hyundai was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The driver of the Hyundai, as well as two occupants of the Mercedes, were all taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Sergeant David Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of this incident, and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam or other footage, to please get in touch if you have not already contacted police.

“We would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while road closures were put in place so we could respond to the incident and carry out enquiries.
