The Crown Hotel in the heart of Blandford, part of the Hall & Woodhouse family, has launched its new-look Sealy Suite function space following a £125,000 refurbishment.
The investment in the historic coaching inn’s function space has created a full redecoration and modernisation. The Sealy Suite, which sits separately from the main hotel with a dedicated bar area and walled gardens, now has a refreshed bar space plus new fixtures and fittings. Within the Sealy Suite are two function spaces: the Badgers Sett, suitable for up to 180 guests, and the Fox Den, which can accommodate a maximum of 22 seated guests.
Laura Ramm, Wedding & Events Coordinator of The Sealy Suite at The Crown Hotel, said: “I am thrilled with the Sealy Suite’s refresh. We host numerous weddings and functions throughout the year, and we wanted to upgrade the venue to allow it to continue to be a top choice in the county for celebrations.
“We are hosting a Wedding Fair later this month and we can’t wait to reveal the newly renovated space with couples looking to share their special day with us.”
The Crown Hotel is a Georgian Grade II listed coaching inn located in the heart of the historic market town of Blandford Forum, overlooking the Stour Meadows. Guests can enjoy fine food and warm hospitality during every visit, with a variety of dining options, from leisurely Sunday roasts and British classics, to burgers and pizza. Throughout the building there are nods to the inn’s history with trinkets and ornaments incorporated into the décor, particularly in the oak-panelled ‘Common Room’ snug area, which is ideal for coffee with friends.
The hotel’s 27 characterful en-suite rooms also showcase Georgian styling, celebrating the inn’s heritage in the market town, and provide dog-friendly and family options.
