This is not staggering. This is not even surprising. What it is though is blackmail. The press should be independent and neutral but they are not. They are the cancer within democracy. They propagandise. They lie. They misrepresent. They leave out. It is not what we are told it is what we are not told as to where reality sits. The rest is a smokescreen.
In this instance some of that smokescreen is removed to reveal ugliness on a mammoth scale.
The issue is not about the referendum. It could be about anything. The issue is the role a corporate mogul is playing. And we know that he is far from alone as the Russia report has shown us. Governments and the obscenely wealthy are in the same cot sucking on the same teet.
