The Gentle Art of Scanography

Random foliage arrange on flatbed scanner and scanned

If you’re a bit bored and want to do something creative maybe scanography might be the answer.

You’ll need access to a computer and a flatbed scanner.

It’s simple enough. Pick some wild flowers/foliage, maybe detach some petals, a bit of greenery and lay them out on the glass surface of the scanner and close the lid. Scan them and store them in a standar JPEG file.

Voila – make a greetings card with it? Frame it and hang it on the wall.

It does’nt have to be foliage it can be anything but use your common sense. Rocks, seashells or anything abrasive could damage your scanner.

Enjoy
