And yet again we come across another Reform UK LTD councillor that might be construed as a “wrong un!”
His name is Daniel Taylor and he was a councillor for them in Kent County Council, yes, the same one Farage stated would be a shop window for how he would run a government that has been a chaotic shambles since they took over.
But I digress.
Daniel Taylor is the reason a by-election had to be held in Cliftonville that was today won by the Green Party as a gain from Reform UK LTD.
Why?
Why did they need to have a by-election, and why did the people in the constituency so overwhelmingly turn their backs on Reform UK LTD?
Because the not-so-pleasant Daniel Taylor has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for being controlling and coercive to his wife.
The magistrate stated he was “a man who can be charming and pleasant, but you can be nasty and violent.”
He had been controlling of his wife for over 12 years, constantly putting her down in company and accusing her of always cheating. Demanding to look through her phone, isolating her from her friends and accusing her of mental illness when she accused him of being controlling.
He told his wife he would hunt her like prey and kill her and that he would “put you in the boot and set fire to the car.”
Whilst in court, he was in a prison uniform because he had complete disregard for the process and had breached bail conditions.
Once again we have seen Farage and Reform UK LTD scrambling about desperately trying to get candidates to stand and are now bypassing all but the very basic vetting procedures. This “man” was supposedly vetted by them; who else is going to become a politician because they can’t get it sorted out, and how many other constituents have to put up with substandard representation from Reform UK LTD.
On a side note, I’m weary of them trying to preach to the rest of us about how they are the “protectors of women and children” when they have these types of people in their ranks.
