The libertarians may be conning themselves but they are not conning us

‘When I was a boy…’

‘My grandparents… would turn in their graves if they could see it now’

‘It was a lot better…’

and on and on by the whining, self deceiving nostalgia addicts who drivel on about how good things were.

Their past is an illusion, sugar coated by those who want to create an ‘Xanadu’ from their own ignorance and inflict it upon the rest of us. They say Xanadu. I say ‘fascist’.

If they want to knock down the temples of mammon I am all for it but let us do it together in unity and solidarity. That way it will be sustainable.

Here we have someone who desires a return to the 1950’s when the skies were blue all day and the smiles were eternally infectious…. Back when we could do what we wanted without state interference.

STOP!! WAIT!! Massive shite alert.

This is not to say that I agree with Boris Johnson. This is to say stop creating a flower from the past where only weeds grew.

The past is ugly and beautiful. So is the present. So will the future be. It is the coming together that will rescue us though, not the voices in our heads screaming bollocks.

Libertarianism is an escape. But choose wisely where we escape too.

Beware false prophets who are hypocrites to their very core.

Douglas James
