There is a sewer of dirty Russian money flowing through London.  Yet when Putin invades Ukraine, the Tory government has been unwilling or very slow to take action. This contrasts markedly with the EU and USA who have targeted oligarchs and their assets within days.

Other countries seize assets like huge yachts.  Britain sits back and gives the Russian oligarchs time to dissipate and protect their assets, to move them out of reach. Boris seems more concerned about not inconveniencing his Russian cronies, than about sending a strong message to Putin.

How dependent on Russian money is the Tory Party?  Are they willing to sacrifice the lives of Ukrainian children to that need? Talk of sanctions is cheap. Action, especially decisive action, is required now!

Boris Johnson and the Tory Party have to show decisively they mean business over sanctions or London will be mocked and derided as the Laundry of Europe for dirty Russian money;  a soft touch for Russian predators as they loot the Ukraine!

Even more seriously serious, co-ordinated, sustained efforts are need to crack down on off-shore funds – Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man are the nearest, with others in the British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Gibraltar.  Putin has billions in off-shore accounts, he is reputed to be the richest man in the world.

Deal with that wealth and strike at the core of his power.
