One of Weymouth’s most cherished seaside cafés is back in business, with the Tea Cabin reopening in time for the height of the summer season.
The much-loved café has welcomed its first customers once again after Weymouth Town Council confirmed it is now open, bringing relief to the many locals and visitors who had been wondering when the popular refreshment stop would return.
Perched in one of the town’s most picturesque locations, the Tea Cabin has long been a favourite destination for walkers, families and holidaymakers looking to enjoy a drink, a bite to eat and views across Weymouth’s stunning coastline. While the immediate future has been secured, the council says attention is now turning to finding a permanent operator. A full tender process is due to begin in the autumn, allowing interested businesses to bid for the opportunity to run the café on a longer-term basis.
