Rishi Sunak and his sociopathic government are trying to win over the British public by making it easier for them to drown their reality in cheaper alcohol, especially beer. However, their decimation of the pub industry has been largely kept quiet until now.

This publican though, has had enough of Sunak’s lies and has gone public.

What the industry has to say about Tory policies on their livelihoods:

  1. Business rates: Critics argued that high business rates placed a significant financial burden on pub owners, making it difficult for many establishments to remain economically viable. This was particularly challenging for smaller and independent pubs.
  2. Taxation: There were claims that the tax regime, including alcohol duty rates, disproportionately affected the pub industry compared to other alcohol retailers, such as supermarkets, which allowed the latter to sell alcoholic beverages at lower prices.
  3. COVID-19 pandemic response: The pub industry, like many other sectors, was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated restrictions. Some critics suggested that the government’s response to the pandemic did not provide adequate support for pubs, leading to many closures and job losses.
  4. Regulation and red tape: Some in the pub industry argued that excessive regulations and administrative burdens imposed by the government made it harder for pubs to operate efficiently and thrive.

The government blamed the EU. The publicans though knew exactly where the problem lay.
