Theft and fraudulent card use in Weymouth – CCTV appeal

Officers are issuing CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to following a theft and subsequent fraudulent bank card use in Weymouth.

At around 11.20am on Wednesday 15 July 2020 a handbag containing bank cards was taken from a bench outside Poundland on New Bond Street, while the owner was sitting nearby.

One of the bank cards was used a short time later at Matalan on Jubilee Close.

Police Constable Jan Steele, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my investigation I have obtained CCTV images of a woman who was captured using the stolen bank card.

“I would urge anyone who recognises her to please get in touch.”
