Officers investigating the theft by finding and attempted fraudulent use of bank cards in Wimborne are issuing CCTV images of two women they would like to speak to.
The victim lost his wallet between 2.35pm and 2.40pm on Friday 29 May 2020 at the Co-op store on Crown Mead. He was then contacted by his bank in relation to unusual transactions later that afternoon.
He subsequently discovered his cards had been used in an attempt to purchase goods online.
Police Community Support Investigator Kate Hann, of East Dorset police, said: “We have been making a number of enquiries into these matters, including attempting to establish what details were used to make the online payments. However, these have so far proved unsuccessful.
“I am now in a position to release CCTV images of two women who may be able to provide information to assist my investigation.
“I would ask anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police.”
