Officers investigating a theft by finding incident in a Poole supermarket are issuing a CCTV image of the suspect.

At around 3.45pm on Saturday 8 August 2020 the victim – a Bournemouth man aged in his 40s – had paid for items at the self-service till at Tesco on Poole Road in Branksome and left the store. A short time later he realised he had left his wallet in the packing area. He returned to the store but discovered it was no longer there and had not been handed in.

CCTV enquiries revealed that the next customer had removed the wallet and placed it in their own bag.

Police Community Support Investigator James Somerville, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my investigation I am releasing a CCTV image of the suspect and I would ask anyone who recognises him to please contact me.”
