Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after garden furniture was stolen from a retirement care home in Poole – with a CCTV image of the suspect being issued.

At around 3.35pm on Tuesday 17 August 2021 a grey metal table and two matching chairs were stolen from the garden of a care home in Parkstone Road.

Subsequent enquiries revealed that a man and woman were seen to load the furniture onto the back of a vehicle and drive away.

Police Community Support Investigator Steph Garner, of Dorset Police, said: “The furniture was bought for the victim by his daughter a week before this incident.

“As part of our enquiries, we have obtained a CCTV image of one of the suspects and I would urge anyone who recognises her to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about garden furniture being offered for sale locally in unusual circumstances.“

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210134655. Alternatively, to stay 100 per cent anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or call Freephone 0800 555 111.
