And this is before Covid and furlough.
That’s a pretty tall claim but one backed up by the facts. Since 2010 the Conservatives have borrowed more money than every Labour government since it was formed in 1900.
However, we must also take in to account that the economy, largely as a result of this debt, is now bigger than at any time in the country’s history. Given George Osborne’s promise to get rid of the debt by 2015 though the country is in one hell of a state and without the borrowing and the stock exchange relying upon house prices the Conservatives would have taken us all in to devastation.
