1. ThE POPPY DOES NOT OFFEND MUSLIMS – this is made up by the far right to get everyone outraged about something that isn’t even a thing and in the course of this , stir up anti Muslim feeling .
2. Over 5.5 million Muslims participated on the allied side of the war during WWII. Nearly 1.5 million Muslims were killed in action.I am hoping that you have posted this without thinking – ie just a knee jerk reaction to pride for our armed forces .
Please , please be careful about what is behind these seemingly innocent and patriotic memes . They are usually untrue and cause a lot of offence . There is a world of difference between being patriotic and being nationalistic . The right wing nuts behind this sort of stuff have more in common with the Nazis than the allies – just a thought when you share these posts .
