Three men in possession of axe and baseball bats disturbed in Wimborne

Officers investigating a theft from a vehicle in Colehill near Wimborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At approximately 3am on Friday 29 September 2023 it is reported that three men were seen shining torches into the garden of an address in the Colehill Lane area.

The three men – who were in possession of an axe and baseball bats – were disturbed by the occupants and left in a silver estate vehicle.

A quantity of cash was taken from the victim’s car.

Police Constable Matthew Cutler, of East Dorset police, said: “Searches were carried out, but the vehicle was not located.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.

“Also, I would like to hear from anyone who may have captured any footage of the suspects either on home CCTV or dashcam.”
