When interviewed this was Jason Oldacre’s racist excuse.

This is the real reason as reported at the time
Jason Oldacre, who has a documented history of inappropriate sexual conduct, indecently touched the young girl while they were alone together.
Upon his arrest, the police discovered that the 45-year-old had attached vile captions to an otherwise innocent video of the child, detailing his obscene desires.
Despite this, he initially denied any wrongdoing, only admitting guilt on the morning of his trial at Swindon Crown Court, after being informed that his sentence would not exceed two years.
Jason Taylor, prosecuting, explained that the issue came to light after Oldacre was caught stealing underwear from a washing line.
The child’s mother informed her daughter that they would no longer be seeing Oldacre, to which the girl responded, “Is that because of the bad things he has been doing to me?”
The child then disclosed that on three separate occasions, he had put his hand up her skirt and touched her over her underwear.
Following his arrest, the police seized and examined his mobile phone, discovering the video of the child. Although the footage itself was innocent, he had added captions indicating his desire to have sex with her and other vile intentions.
During police interrogation, Oldacre insisted, “I haven’t done anything wrong,” and continued to maintain his innocence even when confronted with the mobile phone evidence.
Oldacre, who has no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 in early July of the previous year.
The court heard that he had prior convictions for harassment, involving sending explicit text messages to women who did not welcome them. Consequently, he had been enrolled in a sex offender programme.
Shortly before these offences came to light, magistrates had imposed an eight-week suspended sentence for two years for the underwear theft.
Mark Sharman, defending, stated that his client had an unhappy upbringing, functioned at an intellectual level below his years, and had never engaged in an intimate relationship with an adult.
In sentencing, Judge Peter Blair QC remarked: “The behaviour to which you finally pleaded guilty towards this seven-year-old is behaviour that you know was wrong.
“I understand that you have some difficulties with your level of cognitive functioning and controlling your behaviour, but this was frightening for a young child. It was unpleasant and unwanted for her.
“We hear from her mother that it appears she may be able, at the moment, to brush it aside and not dwell on it.
“But the long-term effects remain uncertain, as often these things do not manifest until later in life.”
Judge Blair sentenced Oldacre to 100 weeks in prison and imposed a sexual harm prevention order restricting his contact with children upon his release. Additionally, Oldacre must register as a sex offender for ten years.
One last thought. Just Stop Oil protesters – 5 year sentence. A man who sexually molests a child gets 100 weeks. Think on!
