A man who was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Verwood has very sadly died.
At around 5.40pm on Tuesday 23 December 2025, a collision occurred involving a black Mini Cooper, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a BMW X3 on Ringwood Road near to the junction with St Stephen’s Lane.
The female driver of the Vauxhall, aged in her 50s, sustained minor injuries, and the driver of the BMW was uninjured.
The driver of the Mini – a local man aged in his 70s – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Very sadly, he died in hospital on Monday, 19 January 2026. His family has been informed.
Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of the man who sadly died following this collision.
“We owe it to them to conduct a thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances of this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage who has not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.”
