At around 12.45pm on Saturday, 24 May 2025, officers located a body in the area of Newton Hill.

While the body has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be Damian and his family has been informed.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and HM Coroner has been notified.

Temporary Detective Superintendent Nicky Jenkins, of County CID, said, “Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of Damian at this extremely difficult time.
