Officers searching for missing Poole man Craig Hayward have very sadly found a body.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.48am on Wednesday 3 July 2024 that a man had been found unresponsive in Compton Gardens in Poole. Very sadly the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

While the man has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be 39-year-old Craig Hayward – who was reported missing having left an address in the Branksome area on the morning of Monday 1 July 2024. The death is not being treated as suspicious and Craig’s family has been informed.

Chief Inspector Matt Buller, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family of Craig Hayward at this extremely difficult time.

“I would like to thank all those who have assisted our search efforts over the last few days.”
