Janette, aged 65, was reported missing having last been seen at around 9.30am on Thursday 3 July 2025 in the area of Alumdale Road in Westbourne.
At around 1.20pm on Tuesday 8 July 2025, a body was located in the area of The Avenue in Poole.
While the body has not yet been formally identified, it is believed to be Janette and her next of kin has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.
Chief Inspector Darren Moores, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones of Janette at this extremely difficult time.
“I would like to thank all those involved in the search efforts to locate her, including volunteers from Dorset Search and Rescue (DorSAR).”
