Tragedy as police find body of missing man near Poole

Officers searching for a missing man in Purbeck have very sadly found the body of a man.

At around 8.20am on Tuesday 23 July 2024, officers sadly located the body of a man near to Old Harry Rocks.

While the man has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be 52-year-old Stephen Breen – who was believed to have last been in the area of South Beach in Studland during the evening of Monday 22 July 2024. The death is not being treated as suspicious and Stephen’s family has been informed.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Stephen Breen at this extremely difficult time.
