Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward after a dangerous driving incident near Dorchester.

At around 11.20am on Wednesday 14 August 2024 a heavy goods vehicle collided with a barrier at the railway crossing on Moreton Road in Woodsford.

The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “This incident caused the barrier to snap off, meaning the road was closed for a number of hours and trains were impacted.

“I am appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area and saw what happened or has relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.

“I would also like to speak to the driver of the lorry so I can take their account of what happened.”
