Two men seriously assaulted by group in Poole

Detectives investigating an incident where two men were allegedly assaulted in Poole are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify.

Dorset Police received a report at 12.49pm on Tuesday 24 May 2022 that two men had been assaulted in the area of Queen Anne Drive.

It was reported that the two male victims had been threatened and assaulted by a group of men, who had then left the scene in a vehicle.

The victims, both aged in their 30s, were taken to hospital for treatment. One man was treated for a broken nose as well as an injury to his arm. The other sustained a laceration to his forehead.

Following enquiries, a 33-year-old Bournemouth man and a 43-year-old man from Poole were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Both men have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Emma Jeffries, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Our investigation into this incident is ongoing and I am issuing an image of a man we would like to identify.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to his identity to please contact us.”
