Officers investigating a series of burglaries at two hotels in Weymouth are issuing CCTV images of two men they would like to identify.

Between 6.15pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday 25 October 2022 it is reported that entry was gained to nine hotel rooms within Royal Hotel and Hotel Rex on The Esplanade.

It is reported that during dinner service, the rooms have been broken into and cash and jewellery were stolen.

Police Constable Bryce Scott-Jones, of Weymouth Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “As part of my enquiries, I have obtained CCTV images of two men I would like to identify and I would ask anyone who recognises them to please get in touch. While I appreciate the images are not of the best quality, I am hoping they may jog the memory of any witnesses who were guests at the hotels.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone else who was staying in the area on that night and was the victim of a similar burglary that has not been reported to police.

“Finally, if you were staying in either Hotel Rex or Royal Hotel and witnessed any suspicious activity, please contact Dorset Police.”
