Two Men With Serious Injuries Following Collision in Christchurch

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious collision in Christchurch.

At around 6pm on Wednesday 8 April 2026, a two-vehicle collision occurred involving a red Skoda Citigo and a white and black Honda motorbike on the A35 Lyndhurst Road at Roeshot Hill.

The rider of the motorbike – a man aged in his 20s – and the male car driver, aged in his 60s, were both taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I understand a number of people stopped to help at the scene before police arrival and I would urge them to please get in touch.

“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who may have captured the collision, or moments leading up to it, on dashcam footage.”
