Officers are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision in Bournemouth.

The collision occurred at around 5.30pm on Tuesday 21 November 2023 in Canford Avenue involving a grey Suzuki motorcycle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a local woman aged in her 60s, and the motorcycle rider, a local man aged in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Road closures were put in place along Canford Avenue at the junctions of Wallisdown Road, Dawes Avenue, Canford Road and Kinson Road while emergency services attended the incident.

Police Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the traffic unit, said: “I am aware that there were a number of people and vehicles in the area at the time of the collision and I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened, and has not yet spoken to officers, to please get in touch.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who captured all or part of the incident on dashcam as this would greatly assist our investigation.”
