Two men have been charged in connection with a reported disturbance in Weymouth.

Dorset Police received a report at around 3.10am on Sunday 3 December 2023 that a group of people were behaving aggressively towards members of the public in the area of Park Street.

It was further reported that a member of the public was threatened by two men carrying knives.

Following enquires by officers, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old man – both from Weymouth – were arrested and subsequently charged with affray, possession of an offensive weapon and threatening with a bladed article.

The 20-year-old man was also charged with assault.

They are due to attend Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 23 October 2024.
