On the 27th of August, 2016, Julia Foggo is taking on the 100km South Coast Challenge in aid of Age UK Dorchester’s Reach Out service.

The challenge involves a 100km walk between Eastborne and Arundel, crossing the South Downs on the way. Walking through the day and night Julia will be testing her endurance in order to raise money for the local Reach Out service.

“I like to create a personal challenge for myself each year and am looking forward to the experience. Getting past the half way point and travelling at night will be challenging, but the fact that I’m raising money for a good cause will push me forward to make sure I don’t give up.”

The Reach Out program aims to help people reconnect with the community, and tackle the isolation experienced by so many older people across rural Dorset. The support given by volunteers and local fundraisers makes a huge impact in engaging with as many isolated older people as possible.

If anyone would like to help towards reaching Julias donations target they can give online at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/juliafoggo1
