Officers investigating an unprovoked assault on a teenage boy on Bournemouth’s seafront are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.

At around 9pm on Friday 24 July 2020 the victim – a 17-year-old boy – was cycling with his friend on the promenade near to Aruba when a man approached and stepped out in front of them to stop them from cycling.

It is reported that the offender proceeded to drag the victim off his bike and punch him, before picking up his bike and throwing it toward him.

The victim sustained injuries to his nose and bruising to his face.

Police Constable Adam Steeves, of Bournemouth police, said: “Following enquiries I have obtained CCTV footage of a man I would like to speak to in connection with this incident.

“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch as soon as possible.”
