Officers carrying out enquiries to locate a wanted man believed to be in North Dorset are appealing for information from the public.

Nicholas Castle, aged 26, is wanted on a prison recall after failing to comply with the terms of his licence following his release from jail. He is also wanted for failing to appear at court in connection with reported burglary offences.

Detective Sergeant Richard Barnett, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries to locate Nicholas Castle but these have so far proved unsuccessful.

“We believe he has been in the Shaftesbury and Gillingham areas of the county and he has ties to the area of South Wiltshire. I would urge anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact us.

“While there is no information to suggest Castle presents a risk to the general public, we would urge anyone who sees him not to approach him but to instead dial 999 immediately.”

If you see Nicholas Castle you should call 999 immediately. Anyone with other information should call 101, quoting occurrence 55240056410 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
