Weird Fish sponsors the Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival for ninth year in a row

The UK’s largest free-to-attend seafood festival, the Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival, will return to Weymouth Harbour on Saturday 14 July and Sunday 15 July. Leading clothing brand, Weird Fish, is on board for the ninth year as a sponsor.

Weird Fish is the only clothing brand sponsoring the renowned festival and will be joining more than 100 stands offering fresh seafood. Thousands of festival-goers will return to Weymouth Harbour to enjoy the weekend’s activities.

The clothing company will be showcasing a wide selection from its summer range in its pop-up shop, with exclusive show offers available. The festival is Weird Fish’s next stop on its 2018 tour, having previously been at the Royal International Air Tattoo in Gloucestershire and moving on to the Royal Welsh Show after its stop in Weymouth.

John Stockton, managing director at Weird Fish, commented: “We are delighted to return as one of the main sponsors and pleased to get behind an event that encourages a better understanding of the seafood available from our shores.

“This was the first ever event Weird Fish signed up to do and so we have a real affinity with this festival, which continues to get bigger and better each year.”

The festival raises funds for The Fishermen’s Mission and promises to offer something for everyone, with events including live cooking demonstrations, Pommery champagne, gin and vodka demos with drinks expert and journalist Suzy Atkins, as well as a popular crabbing competition for all the family to enjoy.

Roger Dalton, festival chairman of the Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival, commented: “This is the ninth year that Weird Fish has been involved with the festival and what better place to showcase their relaxed, easy-going clothing, than a festival by the sea? We would like to thank Weird Fish for their ongoing support.”

Earlier this year Weird Fish launched its nautical collection for men and women, taking inspiration from the high seas. The result is an authentic, stylish range, which is perfect for a laid-back look on or off the water. Weird Fish clothing is available to buy nationally from Weird Fish retail stores and online. There are 15 branded stores and stockists include Debenhams, Cotswold Outdoor, Haskins Garden Centres and Blacks Leisure.
