WEYMOUTH BID FINAL DROP IN SESSION FOR BUSINESSES

The Weymouth BID Steering Group is stepping up the VOTE YES Campaign by organising a final “Drop in” meeting for Business Levy Payers.  The meeting will be held on 18th April 2013 at the Wetherspoons William Henry Pub Weymouth between 3.30 – 6.00pm.

Nigel Reed, Chair of the Steering Group said “The previous “Drop In” meetings have been very successful and have allowed businesses to discuss concerns and queries with the Steering Group on a one to one basis.  The Business Plan has now been sent out to all levy payers explaining clearly the aims of the BID, the structure, budget and how the plan will be delivered. This meeting is the last of three “pop in” meetings for levy payers to ask any questions, raise any issues, or to show their support.”

The Weymouth BID postal ballot will take place between 4th– 31st May 2013. Leaflets will be distributed in the levy payment area over the next couple of weeks together with a copy of the final business plan for consideration. If the BID is successful then local businesses in the BID levy payment area will provide annual investment in Weymouth Town of £300,000 totaling £1.5 million, based on the BID business plan, over the next five years.”

Businesses and press are encouraged to come along to the meeting on 18thApril at the William Henry Public House in Weymouth or call Nigel Reed on 07557 142906, email at [email protected] .  More information is available at www.weymouthbid.co.uk.
