Weymouth BID are currently working with Shopper Anonymous to offer free training and support to businesses that are looking to improve their customer service. Shopper Anonymous are a national company based in East Sussex, and have delivered similar projects with other BIDs in the UK and 900 UK businesses in a wide variety of sectors such as Education, Garden Centres, Retail, Hotels, Legal services, Business to Business and Supermarkets.
Shopper Anonymous offer mainly services such as Mystery Shopping, Team Training, Customer and Staff surveys, Focus Groups, Conference speaking and Business Mentoring. The free trial is limited to ten Weymouth levy businesses. The Mystery Shopping experience is normally charged at £300 to each business who takes part, after the initial survey businesses will be offered an optional individual training programme which they can then use to improve their business.
Nigel Reed, Manager of Weymouth BID said “The trial offers businesses the opportunity to assess their customer service through mystery shopping visits and have the added benefit of feedback and support from Shopper Anonymous in analysing the results. The trials purpose is to see if businesses find this useful and can see benefit in helping their business. If successful then other businesses can take up the opportunity and depending on take up the BID can negotiate a Levy Payer discount for this service. The chance to be part of the trial, at no financial cost, is an opportunity for businesses to confirm or improve their customer service and experience.”
The Mystery Shopping experience might include mystery shoppers interacting with the business through telephone calls, walk-ins, website enquiries, show arounds, dining experiences and meetings. Businesses will receive a tailored programme and feedback within 4 days of the mystery shop.
