To mark the first year of Devondale Electrical being part of the Weymouth community, the company is inviting the local residents and tradespeople to join its branch team for a free celebratory barbecue on Friday 14th July.

Since Devondale acquired A J Electrical Distributors in 2022 and rebranded the Weymouth site, the product range available to customers has expanded and now includes additional leading names, including commercial lighting manufacturer Ansell, hand tool specialist C.K Tools, and power tool drilling accessories manufacturer Armeg. Further branch development is planned with the addition of a range of solar and renewable energy products.

The branch has also integrated itself with the local community by sponsoring two local charities – Casting for a Cure, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, and Starlight Dance Studio.

From 7am on Friday 14th July, visitors to the event will be able to enjoy food from award-winning local restaurant The Dorset Burger Company, make use of a wide range of special offers, and have the chance to win prizes by taking part in a darts competition, tombola and prize draw. Prizes include a home beer draft system valued at over £200. The branch has been running a competition on its Facebook page to win a £40 gift voucher to use at The Dorset Burger Company and the winner will be announced during the celebration.

James Smart, Branch Manager at Devondale Electrical in Weymouth, commented:

“We’re delighted to be celebrating our first anniversary of being part of the Weymouth community as Devondale Electrical. We pride ourselves on unrivalled service, quality product range, and the longevity of the relationships we develop with our customers, and I believe these have strongly contributed to the success of our first year – we have seen increases in sales and customers opening trade accounts with us.

“We are delighted to mark the anniversary and look forward to welcoming visitors through the doors to celebrate with us.”

The anniversary barbecue takes place on Friday 14th July from 7am at Devondale’s Weymouth branch, which is located on the Granby Industrial Estate.
