Club Statement:
We would like to inform supporters that we have been contacted by the Football Association regarding a serious incident that occurred on Saturday, 15th November, at our home game versus Basingstoke Town.
An obscene comment of a sexual nature was shouted at one of the Basingstoke Town female members of staff and was picked up on the audio of the match coverage.
We are currently collaborating with all agencies to identify the person responsible, as this is a very serious situation the individual has put the club in, which could have potentially damaging consequences for us all.
Dorset Police can confirm it has received a report into this incident and is looking into the circumstances. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250171759. We remind supporters that racist, sexist, homophobic, and all abusive language and threatening behavior will not be tolerated in any form.
