Weymouth man arrested following indecent act in Dorchester

Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a reported indecent exposure incident in Dorchester.

At approximately 7pm on Sunday 23 October 2022 it is reported that the occupant of a property in High Street in Fordington noticed a man stood outside performing an indecent act.

A 55-year-old man from Weymouth was arrested on suspicion of committing an act of outraging public decency and has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Kim Williams, of Dorset County CID, said: “Our investigation is ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to please get in touch.

“I would also ask any residents in the area with doorbell cameras or home CCTV systems, as well as motorists with dashcam who were driving in the vicinity around the relevant time, to please check their footage for anything that may assist our enquiries.”
