Weymouth Man Dies In Collision Near Dorchester

Following this tragedy yesterday

Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch following a fatal road traffic collision near Dorchester.

The incident occurred at around 11.10am on Saturday 23 August 2025 and involved a red Benelli motorbike and a white Vauxhall Corsa in Warmwell Road in Crossways.

The rider of the motorbike – a man aged in his 20s from Weymouth – was very sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.

Police Sergeant Jon Rowland, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who very sadly died in this collision.

“We are investigating the circumstances of what happened and would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.

“Road closures were put in place while an examination of the scene was carried out and I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while they were in place.”
