Weymouth’s first ice rink supported by Weymouth BID is really pleased to announce that the real ice rink will remain in Weymouth until Sunday 3 January 2016.

Nigel Reed, Manager of the Weymouth BID said “Many people have asked us why the ice rink will not be in town for the whole of the Christmas and New Year holiday period. With this in mind and partly due to some of the technical issues faced when opening the Rink for the first time our suppliers were happy to agree to an extension.

There has been a great response from those that have experienced the Ice Rink and we would like to thank the suppliers of the ice rink, Icescape, Danco PLC and ICS Cool Energy for providing this opportunity for more people to have a go.”

The Ice Rink is open every day (NOT Christmas Day) from 11am – 7pm Monday to Saturday and 11 am – 4.30 pm on Sundays.  Full details of opening times and information can be found at www.weareweymouth.co.uk/christmas and tickets can be purchased on line 24/7 or on the day at the Ice Rink.

Entertainment continues at weekends and the Christmas Market stalls are in town at the weekends and the three days running up to Christmas on 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23 December featuring delicious food, gifts, crafts and drinks.   Santa’s Grotto in Cineworld is proving to be a big hit with families and it will be open at weekends and on the 3 days leading up to Christmas day.  Tickets can be purchased at www.weareweymouth.co.uk/christmas.

The 19th-20th sees the return of summer’s Out Loud music festival with Out Loud Christmas. Supported by the local Weymouth & Portland Lions Club, over the two days local artistes will fill the air with Christmas cheer and tunes.
